Zoom Teeth Whitening in Sydney

If you want fast and visible results, our Homebush Dental teeth whitening treatment will get you there. The treatment has been clinically proved to whiten your teeth up to 8 shades in only 45 minutes! The secret is Zoom’s LED technology which makes the treatment 40% more effective than using a non-light activated treatment. After your initial consultation to confirm eligibility, the whitening treatment follows as below:

  1. Firstly, we’ll thoroughly clean your teeth to ensure there is no debris to hamper the whitening treatment.
  2. To allow complete access to your teeth and safety for your lips, a retractor will be inserted into your mouth. Glasses and a gum coating may be applied to add further protection.
  3. The hydrogen peroxide whitening gel is then applied to each tooth.
  4. Your mouth is exposed to the Philips Zoom LED light. When the intense light shines on the whitening gel, the hydrogen peroxide breaks down the stains on your teeth.

As this is a non-invasive procedure, the main side effects may include slight sensitivity or a tingling feeling. Most patients do not experience any pain during treatment.

Are you eligible for Zoom Teeth Whitening?

There are some exclusions to teeth whitening treatments. Pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 13 are not able to be treated. For everyone else, our dentist must first examine your teeth to confirm it is safe to continue before booking in your teeth whitening treatment. This is so we can formulate the best treatment plan for each patient. We’ll review your dental history and examine your teeth to check for enamel and gum quality, and for any tooth decay.

The difference between store bought and professional teeth whitening

There are so many teeth whitening products on the market promising a white, bright smile. Yes they are cheaper, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Over the counter products have a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide (the key whitening ingredient), resulting in an inferior finish and/or many more treatments are needed to achieve the brightness you want. The professional Zoom teeth whitening treatment on the other hand is a faster and longer lasting solution to white teeth.

How long will the teeth whitening last?

For years! Maintaining good oral hygiene of brushing, flossing and avoiding trigger food and drinks is key. Many patients opt to have another round of whitening after a few years – it’s entirely up to you.
